“A rich and expressive nose with so much to discover: ripe fruits, dried fruits, pepper, cinnamon, herbs, and spices. A magnificent combination of red and black fruits with plenty of licorice, cinnamon, mint, and eucalyptus. Very fleshy, fruity, dense, and supple, yet with excellent acidity. Complex and multidimensional, with great length and refreshing lift on the finish. Give it time—it will be superb.”

“One of the best Haut-Médoc wines, Château Charmail 2019 comes from an excellent terroir north of Saint-Estèphe and is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. Deep ruby/purple, it offers a superb nose of red and black cassis, grilled spices, tobacco, and dried flowers. On the palate, it is rich, medium to full-bodied, with a powerful core of sweet fruit, velvety tannins, and a long finish. It already offers pleasure but will evolve beautifully for 10 to 12 years or more. Definitely worth securing a case.”

On the palate, the wine is elegant, luscious, and endowed with compact tannins that promise excellent ageing potential. A harmonious wine that combines power and finesse. Fruity, refreshing, and persistent finish.”
